MC NYLON -1

Nylon was developed by the distinguished American scientist Carothers and a team of researchers under his leadership, and was the first synthetic fiber to appear in the world. Nylon is a plastic composed of polyamide resins, which can be made by condensation of diamines with dibasic acids or by ring-opening polymerization of lactams formed by dehydration of amino acids.

Polyamide (PA) was the first resin developed by DuPont for fiber use in the U.S. and industrialized in 1939. in the 1950s, it began to develop and produce injection-molded products to replace metal to meet the requirements of downstream industrial products for light weight and cost reduction.

There are many varieties of PA, including Pa6, Pa66, PA11, PA12, PA46, PA610, PA612, PAl010, etc. There are also bio-based nylon PA56, as well as many new varieties of semi-aromatic nylon PA6T and special nylon developed in recent years.


Nylon 6 (PA6)

English name: Polyamide6 or Nylon6, referred to as PA6 or nylon 6, also known as polyamide 6, that is, polycaprolactam, from caprolactam open ring condensation, is translucent or opaque milky white resin, has superior mechanical properties, stiffness, toughness, wear resistance and mechanical shock absorption, good insulation and chemical resistance. It is widely used in many fields such as automotive parts, electronic and electrical parts.

Nylon 66 (PA66)

English name: Polyamide 66 or Nylon6, referred to as PA66 or nylon 66, also known as polyamide 66, that is, polyhexanediylhexanediamine, used in the manufacture of mechanical, automotive, chemical and electrical device parts, such as gears, rollers, pulleys, rollers, impellers in the pump body, fan blades, high-pressure seal around, valve seats, gaskets, bushings, a variety of handles, support frame, wire package inner layer, etc.

Nylon 11 (PA11)

English name: Polyamide11 or Nylon11, referred to as PA11 or nylon 11, also known as polyamide 11, that is, polyundecanolactam, is white translucent body. Its outstanding features are low melting temperature and wide processing temperature, low water absorption, good low temperature performance, good flexibility that can be maintained at -40℃~120℃. It is mainly used in automobile oil pipeline, brake system hose, fiber optic cable wrapping, packaging film, daily necessities, etc.

Nylon 12 (PA12)

English name: Polyamide12 or Nylon12,abbreviated as PA12, also known as polyamide 12, that is, polydodecamide, which is similar to nylon 11, but its density, melting point and water absorption rate is lower than that of nylon 11. It has the properties of combined polyamide and polyolefin because it contains a larger amount of toughening agent. Its outstanding features are high decomposition temperature, low water absorption and excellent low temperature resistance. It is mainly used for automobile oil pipes, instrument panels, gas pedals, brake hoses, anechoic parts of electronic appliances, and cable sheathing.

Nylon 46 (PA46)

English name: Polyamide46 or Nylon46, referred to as PA46 or nylon 46, also known as polyamide 46, that is, polyhexanediylbutanediamine, its outstanding features are high crystallinity, high temperature resistance, high rigidity, high strength. It is mainly used in automobile engines and peripheral parts, such as cylinder heads, cylinder bases, oil seal covers, transmissions. It is used in the electrical industry as contactors, sockets, coil bobbins, switches and other fields that require high heat resistance and fatigue strength.

Nylon 610 (PA610)

English name: Polyamide 610 or Nylon 610, referred to as PA610 or nylon 610, also known as polyamide 610, that is, poly(sunflower diacylhexanediamine), is translucent milk white, its strength between nylon 6 and nylon 66. Small specific gravity, low crystallinity, less influence on water and humidity, good dimensional stability, and can be self-extinguishing. Nylon 612 (PA612)

English name: Polyamide 612 or Nylon612, referred to as PA612 or nylon 612, also known as polyamide 612, that is, polydodecanoylhexanediamine, nylon 612 is a tough nylon, density is smaller than nylon 610, has a very low water absorption, excellent wear resistance, smaller molding shrinkage, excellent hydrolysis resistance and dimensional stability. The most important use is to make monofilament of high-grade toothbrush and cable covering.

Nylon 1010 (PA1010)

English name: Polyamide1010 or Nylon1010, referred to as PA1010 or nylon 1010, also known as polyamide 1010, that is, poly sunflower diacyl sunflower diamine, nylon 1010 is made from castor oil as the basic raw material, is China's Shanghai celluloid factory first developed successfully and industrialized. Its biggest feature is highly ductile, can be drawn to the original length of 3 to 4 times, and high tensile strength, excellent impact and low temperature, -60 ℃ under the non-brittle, while having excellent wear resistance, ultra-high toughness and good oil resistance, widely used in aerospace, cable, optical cable, metal or cable surface coating, etc..

Semi-aromatic nylon (transparent nylon)

English name: Semi-aromatic nylon, also known as amorphous polyamide, chemical name: poly(terephthaloyltrimethylhexanediamine), belongs to an aromatic group, when the amine or acid of nylon raw materials have the same containing benzene ring is called semi-aromatic nylon, when both raw materials contain benzene ring is called fully aromatic nylon. However, in practical application, the processing temperature of fully aromatic nylon is too high for operation, so the market generally takes semi-aromatic nylon as the main promotion type.

Semi-aromatic nylon has been used a lot in foreign countries, especially in the field of high performance engineering plastics, and semi-aromatic nylon has been recognized and put into production by many big companies for its excellent performance. Due to the monopolistic operation of chemical giants, domestic semi-aromatic nylon is not yet in place, and can only see the foreign modified semi-aromatic nylon and can not use this new material to modify their own.
