1.
PVC: The chemical name is polyvinyl chloride, which is divided into rigid polyvinyl chloride and soft polyvinyl chloride. High mechanical strength, chemical properties Vinyl chloride (codenamed PVC) is a synthetic polymer formed by the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer. Polyvinyl chloride is a white or light yellow powdery resin with a density of about 1.4 and a chlorine content of about 56% to 58%. Adding different plasticizers and stabilizers to the polyvinyl chloride resin can produce different rigid polyvinyl chloride and soft polyvinyl chloride.
Polyvinyl chloride itself is a linear polymer, because the attractive force between the molecules is very strong, and they are tightly and firmly bonded to each other, so that the polymer chain cannot move freely, so the texture is hard. When the resin is not added or added (less than 10%) plasticizer, the result is rigid polyvinyl chloride. Rigid polyvinyl chloride has high density, acid resistance, alkali resistance and corrosion resistance, so it is often used as pipes for chemical equipment and building boards, such as floors and ceilings.
When more plasticizers are added to the resin, soft polyvinyl chloride can be obtained. The more plasticizers are added, the softer the plastic. Soft polyvinyl chloride is elastic, resistant to folding, light, water, and oxidation, so it is often used to make films and wire wraps. Polyvinyl chloride products in daily life are mostly soft polyvinyl chloride. For example, artificial leather made of PVC is widely used in clothing, shoes, suitcases, and leather bags.
If a foaming agent is added to polyvinyl chloride plastics, foamed plastics can be made. It has excellent properties such as light weight, heat insulation, sound insulation, etc., and is widely used in industries such as shoemaking, building materials, shipbuilding and aircraft manufacturing.
2. Nylon polyamide is commonly known as Polyamide (PA for short) in English. It is a general term for thermoplastic resins containing repeating amide groups-[NHCO]-on the main chain of the molecule. Including aliphatic PA, aliphatic-aromatic PA and aromatic PA. Among them, aliphatic PA has many varieties, large output and wide application, and its name is determined by the specific carbon number of the synthetic monomer.
The main varieties of nylon are nylon 6 and nylon 66, occupying an absolute dominant position, followed by nylon 11, nylon 12, nylon 610, nylon 612, in addition to nylon 1010, nylon 46, nylon 7, nylon 9, nylon 13, new There are nylon 6I, nylon 9T and special nylon MXD6 (barrier resin), etc. There are many modified varieties of nylon, such as reinforced nylon, monomer cast nylon (MC nylon), reaction injection molding (RIM) nylon, and aromatic nylon , Transparent nylon, high impact (super tough) nylon, electroplated nylon, conductive nylon, flame-retardant nylon, nylon and other polymer blends and alloys, etc., to meet different special requirements, widely used as a substitute for traditional materials such as metal and wood Supplies, as various structural materials.
Nylon is the most important engineering plastic, and its output ranks first among the five general engineering plastics.
The properties of nylon:
Nylon is a tough angular translucent or milky white crystalline resin. The molecular weight of nylon as an engineering plastic is generally 15,000 to 30,000. Nylon has high mechanical strength, high softening point, heat resistance, low friction coefficient, wear resistance, self-lubricity, shock absorption and noise reduction, oil resistance, weak acid resistance, alkali resistance and general solvent resistance, good electrical insulation, and Self-extinguishing, non-toxic, odorless, good weather resistance, poor dyeability. The disadvantage is that the water absorption is large, which affects the dimensional stability and electrical properties. Fiber reinforcement can reduce the water absorption rate of the resin, so that it can work under high temperature and high humidity. Nylon has a very good affinity with glass fiber. It is often used to make combs, toothbrushes, clothes hooks, fan bones, net bag ropes, fruit outer packaging bags and so on. Non-toxic, but not long-term contact with acid and alkali.
It is worth noting that after adding glass fiber, the tensile strength of nylon can be increased by about 2 times, and the temperature resistance ability is also improved accordingly.
The shrinkage rate of nylon is 1%~2%
