The difference between PET and PI of electric heating film
PET and PI are the two substrates of electric heating film. But what is the difference between the same electric heating film and different substrates?
First, let's start by understanding PET and PI: PET is the British abbreviation for Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or PETP. Poly (terephthalic acid) plastics include poly(ethylene terephthalate) diester PET and poly(butylene terephthalate) diester PBT). Poly(ethylene terephthalate) is commonly referred to as a polyester resin and is often referred to as polyester resin. It is a condensation polymer of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol. Together with PBT it is known as a thermoplastic polyester or saturated polyester.
Polyimide (polyimide), commonly referred to as PI in Chinese, is an aromatic heterocyclic compound containing an imide based chain. The English name Polyimide (PI) can be divided into four types of PI: soluble PI, polyamideimide (PAI) and polyetherimide (PEI).
The differences between PET and PI can be divided into the following two aspects:
First, from the material exterior: PET electric heating film is a transparent electric heating film, while PI electric heating film is an opaque electric heating film.
Second, the difference of temperature resistance: PET is low temperature electric heating film, can withstand low temperature for a long time, the maximum temperature of PET electric heating film can reach 80. but for safety reasons, the electric heating film must be equipped with thermostat, the temperature of PET electric heating film is 50 + 5C. PI film is high temperature electric heating film, can be used for a long time. The temperature reaches 250 degrees Celsius, but for safety reasons, the normal temperature setting for PI film is 120 + 5 degrees Celsius
