What is PTFE gasket

Soft PTFE is refined. Durable and reliable sealing performance; PTFE itself has the best corrosion resistance and non-aging, and after special processing has good creep resistance and cold flow resistance; can be used safely in a wide temperature range for a long time; soft and easy to cut, can be cut by machinery or by hand, easy to install.

Appearance color: white.

Applicable temperature: -180℃-250℃

Applicable medium: PH 0-14

Regular size: 1250mm*1800mm Thickness 1-5mm

Pure plate OTH-2100

Characteristics of PTFE gasket

There are many ways to apply PTFE as sealing material. Because of its inherent high corrosion resistance, stable physical properties and resistance to high and low temperatures, it has achieved good sealing performance.

PTFE performance advantages

High temperature resistance: the use of working temperature up to 250 ℃.

Low temperature resistance: has good mechanical toughness; even if the temperature drops to -196 ℃, can also maintain 5% elongation.

Corrosion resistance: to most chemicals and solvents, showing inert, resistant to strong acids and bases, aqua regia and a variety of organic solvents.

Weather resistance: has the best aging life among plastics.

High lubrication: the lowest coefficient of friction among solid materials.

Non-adhesive: It has the smallest surface tension among solid materials and does not adhere to any substance.

Non-toxic: physiologically inert, no adverse reaction to long-term implantation as artificial blood vessels and organs.

PTFE gasket production process

1.Preparation of raw materials; ingredients: pure F4 products, raw material F4 fine resin, pounded and sieved

2.Preparation of mold: wipe clean with alcohol, no rust and no adhesion in the press mold.

3, weighing, according to the formula G = PV (where G is the amount of material added, P is the density of pre-products (2.18g/cm3).

4.Adding material: distribute F4 resin evenly on the whole pressing surface.

5.Pre-forming (pressing): calculate the press gauge pressure according to the formula, set the press gauge pressure. Perform pressing.

6.Remove the mold and trim the edges: Take the semi-finished products out of the mold and trim the edges on the surface to make the surface flat and the edges neat. Prepare for molding.

7.Sintering: Put the semi-finished products into the sintering furnace slowly, put in the right quantity, raise the temperature for one hour about to 390 degrees, and then carry out heat preservation for one hour, and start to cool down after about forming, and after about four hours, reach the room temperature, carry out the finished products out of the furnace, and finally finish shaping.

Application of PTFE gasket

It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, electric power and steel industries. Applicable media include water, oil, acid solution, alkali solution and almost all chemical components.

Role of PTFE gasket

Gasket is a mechanical seal between two objects, usually used to prevent leakage between two objects by pressure, corrosion, and natural thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline. Since the machined surface cannot be perfect, gaskets are used to fill irregularities. Gaskets are usually made of sheet materials such as paper, rubber, silicone rubber, metal, cork, felt, neoprene, nitrile rubber, fiberglass or plastic polymers such as PTFE.

A washer (washer) is a thin plate (usually round) with a loophole (usually in the middle) usually used to distribute the load to thread fasteners. Other uses are as spacers, springs (Belleville gaskets, wave gaskets), wear pads, pre-display devices, locking devices. Rubber gaskets are also used in faucets (valves) to cut off the flow of liquid or gas. Rubber or silicon gaskets can also be used to reduce fan vibration. Usually the outer diameter of the gasket is about twice the inner diameter
