HDPE Civil Engineering Membrane Application In Cisterns

High-density Polyethylene soil impermeable membrane is a better impermeable material for cisterns. Considering the pressure of the reservoir if the water depth is about 2m, you can use 0.75mm or more than 0.75mm impermeable membrane. If the water depth of the reservoir in about 4m, you can use 1.0mm or 1.0mm or more impermeable membrane. If the water depth of the cistern is about 8m, you should use 1.2mm or more than 1.2mm impermeable membrane. The first is to control the amount of leakage. A thickened geomembrane can reduce the hydraulic gradient and thereby reduce the amount of penetration; the other is to control the amount of water leakage from being pierced by bottom soil particles under the action of water pressure.

Considering the water pressure of the reservoir, if the water depth is about 2m, a geomembrane of 0.75mm or more can be used to prevent seepage; if the water depth of the reservoir is about 4m, a geomembrane of 1.0mm or more can be used to prevent seepage. Seepage; if the water depth of the reservoir is about 8m, a geomembrane of 1.2mm or above should be used to prevent seepage. The specific thickness of the anti-seepage geomembrane for the reservoir should be determined based on the actual situation.
