What material is ertalyte TX PET-P?

PETP Polyethylene terephthalate is an engineering plastic profile made of crystalline thermoplastic polyester. Hardness, good rigidity, high strength, toughness, low friction coefficient and high dimensional stability. Its operating temperature is between -40 degrees and +110 degrees. It is a Swiss engineering plastic profile made of semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester. Its brand names are ERTALYTE® (pure grade) and ERTALYTE®TX (filler grade).

Main features:

High mechanical strength, rigidity and hardness

Very good creep resistance

Low and stable friction coefficient

Excellent abrasion resistance (better compared to nylon)

Very good dimensional stability (better than polyaldehyde)

Physiologically inert (suitable for contact with food)

Good electrical insulation and good chemical stability. Application: high-load sliding bearing parts, pump parts, housings, container plugs, insulation parts for the electronics industry, steering wheels for the textile industry
