What is the difference between PVDF and PEEK?

PEEK

The continuous use temperature of PEEK machined part (Polyetheretherketone) material is extremely high (about 260 degrees), and it also has extremely high rigidity and hardness, as well as unique high tensile strength and fatigue resistance. In addition, its heat resistance and non-deformation performance and chemical stability are excellent. The material has excellent dielectric properties until the temperature reaches 260 degrees, and can resist energy ray irradiation. High precision PEEK part has excellent comprehensive properties, good mechanical properties, high temperature resistance, and superior chemical resistance, making it a more general advanced plastic.

Features: mechanical strength, high rigidity and hardness, high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance, wear resistance and friction performance, etc. PEEK is widely used in aerospace, medical, machinery, automobile and food processing industries and other industries.

PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) has higher stiffness and pressure-bearing capabilities than its PTFE counterpart, but is less lubricious and electrically insulative. It has high strength and high toughness under low temperature conditions, and can be extinguished by itself. Its working temperature is between -30 degrees and 150 degrees. PVDF is stable to chlorides, bromides and energy rays.

Features: Larger in the air, higher allowable working temperature (can work continuously at 150 degrees), excellent chemical corrosion resistance and hydrolysis resistance, outstanding UV resistance and weather resistance. High mechanical strength, good rigidity, good creep resistance. Good sliding and wear resistance. Inherently low flammability, good electrical insulation properties.

But in terms of temperature and mechanical properties, PEEK is better than PVDF. Hony Plastic has been committed to the field of special plastics for many years, and can carry out various molding processes such as extrusion molding, injection molding, compression molding, and machining molding. According to customer drawings and or sample requirements, develop and manufacture injection molding and compression molding molds, and customize PEEK parts and finished products of various specifications and applications.
