HONYPLAS®polysulfone English abbreviation: PSU

Polysulfone

Polysulfone Psu Sheet Rod refer to polymer compounds whose main chain contains sulfone groups and aromatic nuclei. It is a linear thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent heat resistance, oxidation resistance, radiation resistance, electrical insulation, outstanding creep resistance and high physical and mechanical properties, excellent chemical corrosion resistance, It is stable to other chemical reagents (such as inorganic acid and alkali salts, etc.) except for strong solvents, concentrated sulfuric acid, and nitric acid.
According to the molecular structure of its main chain, polysulfone plastics can be divided into polysulfone, polyarylsulfone and polyethersulfone. Generally speaking, the heat distortion temperature of polysulfone is 175°C, it can be used for a long time between -100°C and 150°C, and it has excellent aging resistance at high temperature. Polyaryl sulfone is one of the best varieties of heat-resistant engineering plastics. Its heat resistance is comparable to that of thermosetting high-temperature Polyimide. The load deformation temperature is 275°C, and the long-term use temperature is 275°C. ℃--260℃ can maintain good mechanical properties and electrical insulation properties. The performance of polyethersulfone is between polysulfone and polyarylsulfone. The load temperature is 203°C and the long-term use temperature is -100°C--180°C. Polysulfone plastics can still maintain good electrical insulation properties in humid environments.
Their main uses are:
Machinery industry: used to manufacture watch casings and parts, copiers and cameras and other parts, used as hot water valves for food machinery, refrigeration system appliances, transmission parts, etc. Polysulfone plastic can be used for bearings with high temperature load after adding wear-resistant fillers such as Polytetrafluoroethylene or graphite, as well as piston rings, bearing cages, hot water measuring instruments, warm water pump bodies, impellers, etc.
Electronic appliances: It can be used to manufacture integrated circuit boards for televisions, audio and computers, as well as casings for electronic and electrical equipment, electroplating tanks, casings and coil frames for oscilloscopes, capacitor films and wires, and cladding layers for cables. Small precision electronic components. Polyaryl sulfone can be used as C-class insulating material, and can be made into various high-temperature-resistant coil formers, switches, connectors, etc. Polyethersulfone can also be used as coil bobbins, coil frames, micro capacitors, etc. Glass fiber reinforced polyethersulfone can be used as thyristor insulator, miniature potentiometer shell and integrated circuit socket, etc.
Transportation: Used to manufacture instrument panels, differential gear covers, guard plates, ball bearing cages, engine gears, thrust rings, etc. on automobiles; hot air ducts and frame windows on aircraft, etc.
Medical equipment: Because of its transparency, resistance to hot water, steam, ethanol and hygiene, it can be used to make gas masks, sterilizers for eye contact lenses, endoscope parts, artificial heart valves, artificial dentures, etc.; polyethersulfone It can be made into artificial respirator, blood pressure inspection tube, dental mirror holder, syringe, etc. Polysulfone and polyethersulfone can also be made into ultrafiltration membranes and reverse osmosis membranes.
