What is a nylon rod? What are its characteristics and functions

September 15, 2021
Nylon rod is an important engineering plastic, which can replace the wear-resistant parts of mechanical equipment, and replace copper and alloy as the wear-resistant parts of equipment. It has good toughness, strong abrasion resistance, oil resistance, earthquake resistance, good tensile strength, good bending strength, low water absorption, good dimensional stability, etc., so it is used to process various wear-resistant high-strength parts. It is suitable for the production of wear-resistant parts, transmission structural parts, household appliances parts, automobile manufacturing parts, screw textile machinery parts, chemical machinery parts, and chemical equipment. Such as turbines, gears, bearings, impellers, cranks, dashboards, drive shafts, valves, blades, screw rods, high-pressure washers, screws, nuts, sealing rings, shuttles, sleeves, bushing connectors, etc.

Generally speaking, nylon rods made of nylon 1010 or MC nylon are more wear-resistant, and the most wear-resistant is nylon rods with wear-resistant modifiers. A type of nylon 1010 modified plastic prepared by adding various anti-friction materials and mixing with nylon 1010 resin as the (adhesive) base material through an extruder. It has a lower coefficient of friction than pure nylon 1010 resin, higher PV value, better friction and abrasion resistance, and better self-lubricity
