.MC nylon and Nylon PA6

September 18, 2021
Both are nylon but there is a difference
1.MC nylon (MC NYLON)
MC nylon English name: Monomer casting
Nylon, Chinese name: monomer-cast nylon, is a widely used engineering plastic, covering almost all industrial fields.
It is a casting product formed by using anionic polymerization technology to pour molten caprolactam monomer with a catalyst in a mold of various shapes for reaction under normal pressure. The molecular weight of MC nylon is as high as 70,000 to 100,000, which is three times that of general nylon 6 and nylon 66. Therefore, its comprehensive mechanical properties are much better than other nylon materials. It is one of the important energy-saving materials promoted by the State Planning Commission.
Over the years, we have continued to research and develop the modification technology of MC nylon, which has greatly broadened its application fields. Using MC nylon as the base material, various modifiers are added during the reaction process, such as compound oil lubricant, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, glass fiber, carbon fiber, nano mineral powder, etc., to make it more wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and resistant It is aging, self-lubricating, vibration-absorbing, and noise-absorbing; at the same time, due to the simple process and mold structure, the manufacturing cost is relatively low, and it has become an ideal material to replace copper, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, Polytetrafluoroethylene, etc.

2. Nylon Pa6, Pa66 physical properties milky white or light yellow transparent to opaque keratinous crystalline polymer; free coloring, toughness, abrasion resistance, good self-lubricity, low rigidity, low temperature resistance, bacteria resistance, slow burning, The fire is extinguished slowly, with dripping and blistering phenomenon. The maximum operating temperature can reach 180, and it will drop to 160 after adding impact modifier; it can be increased to 199 with 15%-50% glass fiber reinforced, and inorganic filled PA can increase its heat distortion temperature.

Excellent processing and molding processability: injection molding, blow molding, pouring, spraying, powder molding, machining, welding, and bonding can be used. PA6 is the PA with the highest water absorption rate, which has poor dimensional stability and affects electrical performance (breakdown voltage)
