PPS English name Polyphenylene snlfide, is a crystalline polymer, high heat resistance (continuous use temperature up to 240 ℃), mechanical strength, rigidity, flame retardant, chemical resistance, electrical properties, dimensional stability are excellent resins, wear-resistant, creep resistance, flame retardant. Self-extinguishing, up to UL94V-0 grade. High temperature and high humidity still maintain good electrical properties.

Main performance:

●Continuous use temperature up to 220℃. Since the glass transition temperature is only 90°C, care must be taken when using the product under high loads and high temperatures.

●Excellent dimensional stability due to low coefficient of linear expansion and low water absorption.

●It has excellent corrosion resistance, not only to organic acids such as acetic acid, but also to strong inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. It is also resistant to strong alkalis.

●Excellent fatigue and creep resistance due to its high strength and rigidity.

●Stable conductivity and loss of conductivity over a wide range of frequencies.

Unfilled polyphenylene sulfide-based materials are ideal as structural materials for applications in corrosive environments or as PEEK replacements for applications with low temperature requirements. Excellent dimensional stability [low hygroscopicity, low linear coefficient of thermal expansion], combined with ease of precision machining, make PPS well suited for precision machined parts. This material is generally not used in high wear applications.

Application Areas:

●HPLC This component is used in high-pressure liquid chromatography analysis equipment and is machined from PPS profiles because of its chemical inertness.

●NEST (Nest on a Chip) Socket assembly for high-energy/high-speed testing of semiconductor packages, commonly made from PPS sheets.

●Retaining Ring (Retaining Ring) Retaining ring for fixing wafers, used in chemical-abrasive polishing equipment, processed from PPS.

●Pump Casing This part is used in chemical pump environments, and is precision-machined from 40% glass-reinforced PPS to maintain good efficiency.

● Liquid Seal Ring This ring is used in centrifugal mining pumps and is machined from bearing grade PPS, which reduces wear and corrosion problems and allows for closer running clearances-reducing recirculation and increasing efficiency.
