What is PTFE Polytetrafluoroethylene F4?

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene): can be used continuously at 260 degrees, with a maximum operating temperature of 290-320 degrees, very low coefficient of friction, good abrasion resistance and excellent chemical stability. It cannot be injection molded, but can be extruded or made into coatings.

●Automotive seals ●Electrical machinery parts ●Mechanical seals ●Heavy machinery high load bearing wear parts

The main properties of PTFE:

●Also known as Plastic King. Processes include molding or extrusion

●Excellent temperature resistance, from -200 degrees to +260 degrees

●Excellent mechanical properties, molecularly compact, suitable for machining and engraving.

●Ageing resistance, insulation, chemical resistance, flame retardant.

●Low coefficient of friction, very good abrasion resistance, self-lubricating and non-stick.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has excellent comprehensive performance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, non-stick, self-lubricating, excellent dielectric properties, very low coefficient of friction. Used as engineering plastics, it can be made into PTFE pipes, rods, strips, plates, films and so on. Generally used in high performance requirements of corrosion-resistant pipes, containers, pumps, valves and the production of radar, high-frequency communication equipment, radio equipment. PTFE in any filler that can withstand the PTFE sintering temperature, its mechanical properties can be greatly improved. At the same time, to maintain the other good properties of PTFE. Filled with varieties of glass fibers, metals, metallized oxides, graphite, molybdenum disulfide, carbon fiber, Polyimide, EKONOL ... etc., abrasion resistance, the limit of the PV value can be increased by 1000 times.

Wide range of PTFE applications

Communication

PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene is very economical, is also one of our country's three major engineering plastics, whether it is powder or profile market stock is very sufficient, in the communications connector industry as insulators are widely and a large number of use, because of its high insulating properties, a good dielectric coefficient of 2.1, breakdown resistance, good electrical properties, but also to meet the connector repeated insertion and removal of wear-resistant and self-lubricating required, the Comprehensive performance to meet the needs of connector use.

Chemical

Because of PTFE PTFE inherent corrosion resistance, economy, so it is widely used in chemical industry, chemical production, storage, transportation, such as chemical production of a variety of transport liquid pipeline, valve structure, storage tanks, transportation of the use of the back plate, and so on.

Medical

Excellent biocompatibility, flexibility, antimicrobial properties, physical and chemical stability, as well as long flex life and low moisture return rate and other advantages so that people continue to develop PTFE fibers and microporous membranes in the field of medical applications, such as dental floss, artificial blood vessels, artificial skin, artificial ligaments, artificial esophagus, artificial heart valves, etc. PTFE fibers can be used as a general surgery and orthopedic surgery and plastic surgery sutures and plastic surgery, plastic surgery, filler materials.

PTFE microporous membrane prepared by stretching method is widely used in the field of clinical medicine as a functional membrane to promote the recovery of human pathological and traumatic tissues or organs, etc. It is used to promote the healing of bone fracture and the treatment of scald (burn).PTFE microporous membrane can also be used in the research and treatment of conjunctival defect repair, mandibular bone, and oral cavity depression. In addition, modified PTFE fiber or microporous membrane can quickly and effectively adsorb bilirubin in plasma, prevent platelet coagulation, to ensure the normal function of the cells, the application of blood perfusion biomedical in vitro detoxification process in a very broad prospect.

Construction

PTFE microporous membrane has low modulus of elasticity, wide temperature range and aging resistance, low surface energy, good self-cleaning performance, light transmittance of up to 13%, heat reflectivity of 73%, heat absorption is very small, very suitable for roofing building materials, PTFE microporous membrane's excellent performance has made it become the first choice for the membrane material of the National Stadium, "Bird's Nest". A total of 53,000 square meters of PTFE microporous membrane was used.

Due to its higher tear strength and better flexibility, PTFE fiber is widely used as the skeleton support material for building materials. With 100% PTFE woven fabric as the skeleton and PTFE microporous membrane on the surface, the service life of 100% PTFE membrane structure building material can be more than 20 years, and it can significantly reduce the construction period of large frame roof as well as the construction and maintenance costs. PTFE microporous membrane is widely used as roofing material for outdoor stadiums, gymnasiums, swimming pools, large-scale exhibition halls, sightseeing buildings and so on.

Textile and Apparel

PTFE membranes are used in the textile and apparel industry for the preparation of waterproof and breathable fabrics, military apparel, assault suits, ski suits, mountaineering suits, cold weather suits, jackets, and specialty apparel. These fabrics are characterized by good durability, flame retardant, self-cleaning performance, unaffected by ultraviolet light, and long service life. In addition, PTFE can be used in the textile field to cover a variety of bushings to reduce the bonding between the yarn and the mechanical shaft.

Other Fields

PTFE fiber and microporous membrane in other fields also has a wide range of applications, such as wastewater treatment industry for the filtration of corrosive liquids, the aerospace industry for the preparation of bushings, bearings, self-lubricating materials, etc., the surface of the national defense and military equipment, non-staining materials, wave-absorbing materials, explosive impact barrier materials, electronic and electrical industries for the preparation of a variety of wires and cables, battery diaphragm, printed circuit boards, insulating pads, nano In the electronic and electrical industry, it is used for the preparation of various wires and cables, battery diaphragm, printed electric plate, insulating pad, nano-electrode materials for generators, etc. In the transportation industry, it is used for the production of automobile chassis, and in the office industry, it is used for the preparation of clean sliding plate, roller and lubricating felt for copiers.
