Tivar® Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Products
TIVAR® 1000 / TIVAR® COLOR
The average molecular weight is approximately 5,000,000 g/mol.
All UHMW grades of polyethylene TIVAR® 1000 have balanced performance characteristics. It has excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance, and superior impact strength even at temperatures below -200°C. The main areas of application are The main areas of use are: general mechanical components, bottles, canning and packaging machinery, the chemical and plating industries, refrigeration equipment, the textile industry and storage systems for bulk materials.
TIVAR® 1000 R
This grade contains specially recycled TIVAR® 1000 R, which has lower overall properties than pure TIVAR® 1000 at a lower price.
It has better impact strength and abrasion resistance than regular PE 500. This material is an economical PE-UHMW for use in material handling equipment.
TIVAR® 1000 ASTL
TIVAR® 1000 ASTL has an average molecular weight of approximately 5,000,000g/mol - 9,000,000g/mol.
TIVAR® 1000 ASTL was developed to meet the requirements of high toughness and corrosion resistance, and the fillers used make the material antistatic and UV resistant. This reduces the risk of dust explosions due to static electricity when transporting certain bulk materials or when used outdoors.
TIVAR® CESTIGREEN AST
Average molecular weight of approximately 9,000,000g/mol.
TIVAR® CESTIGREEN AST is especially suited for use in areas where green, chip-free (no graphite or carbon particles) electrostatic discharge materials are required. The use of fillers of the right composition also provides superior wear resistance.
TIVAR® BURNGUARD
The average molecular weight is about 9,000,000g/mol.
TIVAR® BURNGUARD is produced under high pressure from highly polymerized polyethylene, which is flame retardant. This specially developed material improves the poor flammability of the original polyethylene material and meets the demand for 10 mm thick UL94V-0 and self-flame retardant. The fillers used give the material antistatic properties.
Another feature is that the non-halogenated, flame-retardant properties of the TIVAR® BURNGUARD grade make it more suitable for industrial use in potentially flammable environments, e.g., for material transportation, general mechanical components, transportation systems, etc.
TIVAR® DS
The average molecular weight of TIVAR® DS is about 9,000,000g/mol.
Due to its ultra-high molecular weight and special manufacturing process, the material has excellent wear and corrosion resistance, and TIVAR® DS has proved to be able to bear the maximum toughness load and wear-resistant work in a variety of industrial fields.
TIVAR® DRYSLIDE
The average molecular weight is approximately 9,000,000g/mol.
TIVAR® DRYSLIDE has one of the lowest coefficients of friction in the TIVAR® product line, and is fortified with a unique solid lubricant that allows TIVAR® DRYSLIDE to maintain good wear resistance under varying pressures.
TIVAR® CERAM P
TIVAR® CERAM P is a ceramic additive that provides excellent wear and impact resistance in high load and high pressure applications.
TIVAR® H.O.T.
TIVAR® H.O.T. is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene product formulated to withstand high temperatures (up to 135°C continuous service temperature). This product can be used in contact with food and complies with the EU food law EU Directive 2002/72/EC and the US FDA food laws 21CFR177.1520 and 21CFR178.2010.
TIVAR® OIL FILLED
TIVAR® OIL FILLED is an oil-containing additive UHMWPE product with enhanced self-lubricating properties. The key feature of TIVAR® OIL FILLED is that it significantly reduces noise during operation. It can also be mixed with food and complies with EU Directive 2002/72/EC and US FDA food regulations 21CFR177.1520 and 21CFR178.2010.
TIVAR® SUPER PLUS
TIVAR® SUPER PLUS is a very wear-resistant and locally cross-linked ultra-high molecular weight grade of polyethylene with excellent wear resistance, dimensional stability, very low thermal expansion, and corrosion resistance, making the product very suitable for use in environments requiring extreme wear and sliding requirements.
TIVAR® TECH
The average molecular weight is approximately 9,000,000g/mol.
TIVAR® TECH is a molybdenum disulfide-added ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene product whose coefficient of friction decreases with dynamic load, resulting in excellent abrasion resistance and sliding properties in the absence of lubricants and in dry environments.
TIVAR® CLEANSTAT
TIVAR® CLEANSTAT is a high-cleanliness UHMWPE product for the food processing and pharmaceutical industries. It is also anti-static and complies with the EU Directive 2002/72/EC and the US FDA food contact regulations 21CFR177.1520 and 21CFR178.2010.
TIVAR® EC
TIVAR® EC is an electrically conductive ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene product that maintains a coefficient of resistance of less than 104 and reduces static electricity generated by product surfaces in abrasive environments.
TIVAR® 88
TIVAR® 88 has an average molecular weight of approximately 9,000,000g/mol.
TIVAR® 88 is an advanced ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene product specifically designed to solve the problem of downtime caused by coagulation, arching, clogging, bridge clogging, freezing, hopper flow, gutter flow, and corrosion of bulk materials (coal, sand, flour), etc. Installation of TIVAR® 88 series liners can effectively minimize the disruption of operations.
TIVAR® RUBBER-BACKED
TIVAR® RUBBER BACKED is a combination of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and rubber that can be bonded to other surfaces, such as steel or wood, with an adhesive in some applications to provide sliding, abrasion, impact and corrosion resistance.
TIVAR® SURFACE PROTECT
TIVAR® SUPER PLUS is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) product with a special wax compound that reduces the hardness of the product and maintains excellent abrasion resistance. It is ideal for use in general high-speed beverage equipment rails to prevent damage or splintering to container surfaces and labels.
TIVAR® XTENDED WEAR
TIVAR® XTENDED WEAR is a clay-added product. This material has been specially developed for use in high-speed paper machines equipped with plastic threads and in drainage areas of paper manufacturing with high abrasive content.
The special addition of mineral fillers to PE-UHMW gives it a low coefficient of friction and improves abrasion and corrosion resistance. Typical applications include: components for bulk abrasive delivery systems, drainage components such as molding boards, foils, swivels, siphon box covers and seals. These have been shown to last longer than ordinary PE-UHMW grades for use in plastic components and plastic threads.
