Rulon® LR | SAINT-GOBAIN

Rulon® LR is the most popular Rulon product. Used in general bearing applications and as a linear tape bearing. Low deformation under load, excellent thermal and chemical properties. Requires 35 RC or harder for mating hardware.

Rulon® LR offers low deformation and is compatible with most hardened steel substrates and acceptable with mild steel; harder mating surfaces offer optimal performance. Offering excellent chemical resistance and capable of running unlubricated up to 10,000 PV.

Rulon LR maroon bearing material is well known for its extreme versatility.

It is suitable for friction with most hard steels. It can also be used on lower hardness steels and runs better on more aggressive surfaces.

The material is extremely chemically stable. All commercial chemicals, including molten sodium and fluorine, are slightly corrosive at high temperatures and pressures.

In continuous non-lubricated operation, rulon LR bearings can withstand pv values of up to 10,000 psi*fpm.

Higher values are possible in intermittent operation.
