Know Everything About Electrical Insulating Materials

December 26, 2023

Electrical insulating materials are mainly used in motors and electrical appliances, such as in generators and motors for armature slot wedges, stator windings, rotor winding insulation.

According to the shape is divided into 6 categories:

1. Insulating varnish, resin liquid and adhesive class. For example, insulating impregnating paint, silicon steel paint, enameled wire paint, potting resin liquid and a variety of adhesives commonly used epoxy resins, polyester, polyurethane, silicone resins, Polyimide alkyd resins (see alkyd resin coatings) and so on.

2.Impregnated fiber products. Such as resin impregnated with various types of cotton, silk, synthetic fibers and glass fibers or fabrics obtained from the insulating cloth, tape and other products.

3. Laminated products. A variety of organic or inorganic substrates impregnated with resin laminated material products, such as a variety of laminate.

4.Plastic products. By adding a variety of organic or inorganic fillers made of resin, such as television shells, instruments, instruments shells, electrical switches and connectors shell.

5. Film, synthetic paper and its composite products. For example, a variety of polymer film capacitor dielectric materials, commonly used Polystyrene, Polypropylene, polyester, polycarbonate, Polytetrafluoroethylene, polyimide and other films; a variety of synthetic fibers insulating paper, such as aromatic polyamide fiber paper, polyester fiber paper; a variety of insulating tape, insulating tape, etc..

6. Rubber products. For example, a variety of wire and cable insulation and sheath, heat shrink tubes, silicone rubber insulated terminals.
