Altron™ PC 1000 Polycarbonate Quadrant ® PC

Altron™ 1000 Polycarbonate PC shapes are produced from select batches of non-UV stabilized polycarbonate resin that complies with EU and FDA regulations, for plastics intended to come into contact with food products. This grade in particular is a transparent, amorphous thermoplastic that offers superior impact strength and elasticity, minimal moisture absorption, and outstanding resistance to acidic solutions. These features, in addition to this grade’s exceptional electrical characteristics, make Altron™ 1000 PC an excellent solution for semiconductor and electronics applications, as well as transparent structural applications.This polymer shows a combination of good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties combined with a good chemical resistance. The composition of the resin used for the production of the LSG PC stock shapes complies with the regulations that apply in the Member States of the European Union (Directive 2002/72/EC, as amended) and in the United States of America (FDA) for plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.

Altron™ 1000 PC

Altron™ 1000 PC is a non-ultraviolet (UV) resistant polycarbonate machined profile, natural color (clear, transparent), "non-optical" grade.Altron™ 1000 PC has good electrical properties as a machined polycarbonate profile, making it ideal for electrical and electronic applications. The strength, impact resistance and clarity of Altron™ 1000 PC make it an ideal material for certain transparent structural applications, such as sight glasses and windows.

Altron™ 1000 PC mechanical grade polycarbonate is stress relieved and is well suited for machined close tolerance parts.

Altron™ LSG PC

Altron™ LSG PC is a medical grade non-UV resistant grade polycarbonate machined profile that Quadrant has selected only for batch production molding of special resin materials. altron™ LSG PC combines good mechanical properties, thermal properties, electrical properties, and good chemical resistance. The resin composition used to produce LSG PC profiles complies with the applicable regulations of the European Union member states (Directive 2002/72/EC, as amended), as well as the United States of America (FDA) regulations for plastic materials and articles in contact with food. The LSG PC profiles have been successfully prototyped to comply with the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) and ISO 10993-1 guidelines for material biocompatibility testing, and they can be traced from resin to profile. In addition, the very good stability under ethylene oxide, plasma and gamma sterilization makes LSG PC profiles suitable for applications in the medical, pharmaceutical and biological markets.
