HONY®POM-30PTFE is made by blending POM and PTFE materials, which retains most of the strength of POM. After the addition of PTFE, the material properties change, softening, less rigidity, and smoother surface.Product features: low friction coefficient, wear resistance, basically no creeping phenomenon, good creep resistance; high impact strength even at low temperatures; very good dimensional stability; sliding performance is better than pure POM, excellent mechanical properties; Physiologically inert, suitable for contact with food.
Product shortcomings: not resistant to strong acids, especially mineral acids, not resistant to ultraviolet rays, and not fireproof
Extruded Acetal Pom Board is blended with other polymers with polyoxymethylene as the main body. The blended polymer made is called polyoxymethylene alloy. HONY®POM-30PTFE board application:
POM/PTFE alloy is suitable for manufacturing oil-free self-lubricating gears, precision gears, computer bearings, bearing rings, seals, cams, machinery industry, electronic communication equipment parts, etc. POM+PTFE is uniformly mixed with PTFE fiber in DELRIN polyacetal resin. It retains most of the inherent strength of DELRIN. Some properties are changed due to PTFE fiber. It is slightly softer, less rigid, and more slippery than pure polyacetal resin. It is suitable for making sliding parts, precision mechanical parts and water-resistant parts, such as bearings, gears, impellers, cams, and bushings.
